Sue joined BBC TV in 1978 as a reporter, then presenter, on the early evening news magazine Nationwide.
After that she has presented a wide variety of BBC programmes, most of them live, including Breakfast Time, Out of Court, Crimewatch UK, Daytime Live, Children in Need, Having a Baby, Out of This World, Holiday and Maternity Hospital.
For ITV Sue presented Life and Sunday Matters.
For Channel 4, the long-running daily afternoon show Collectors’ Lot, the Chelsea Flower Show and a series on the life and history of Hampton Court Palace.
Most recently Sue paid tribute to her Children in Need co-host, Sir Terry Wogan, on the BBC’s The One Show.
